Q: I have forgot/lost my password?
A: No problem, we'll get it for you. Just visit the following link under the login “Forgot password” complete the form and we will email it to you. If you didn't receive an email telling you about how to log in to access your existing ads, please use the “quick email” form to contact us.
Q: Do I have to register to post an ad?
A: Yes. While we don't require your registration to view and browse our large collection of ads, we do ask that you register and log in to post ads. This increases security, gives you flexibility to edit and manage your ads and ensures you get automatic renewal notices. Please remember, we do our upmost to protect your privacy in everything we do. We have security images on all of our contact seller forms to deter scam emails, we never sell or disclose who our clients are to others and we never collect your credit card information. Q: Why is my email address required to register?
A: Your Email address is a required field to register because it is the basis of your account with us, and it is automatically inserted into our system for the "Email" portion of your ad. However, it is PRIVACY PROTECTED and cannot be seen by those responding to your ad.
Q: How do I use my discount code?
A: To use your discount code you first need to register as a new user of our site. Once your registration is complete, log in to your account and post your ad. After you enter your ad details and approve your listing, you will be taken to the payment section where you will see checkboxes for PayPal, and cheque payments. Beneath these two options you will see a box where you can enter your discount code. After you enter your discount code, click the "Next Step" button and you will immediately see the discount reflected in the cost of your listing. Then, click "Complete Transaction" and your listing will appear! If you have any difficulties, please contact us.
Q: Is my telephone number a required field for registration?
A: No. Your telephone number is not required for registration or your ad form, however it is helpful to include it in your registration form for site visitor or us should we need to contact you.
Q: What is 'My Account" page for when I login?'
A: “My Account' is your personal space on MC-Tooling.com. After you login, you are taken to the Admin page (Administration page) of "My Account" which is like your private office on our website. Once there, you can create a new ad, edit and update an active ad, review an expired ad, change your contact information, review all the Emails you have received, and review your sent Emails (if they have been sent from your Mail Centre).
Q: What is the Mail Centre?
A: All correspondence generated through the site from visitors goes to your regular Email address and is also received and saved in your Admin Mail Centre.
If you send your reply from the Mail Centre - your reply is saved there as well.

Editing my listing...
Q: Where do can I edit my Listing/AD?
A: Click on "My Accounts" Click on “My Active Listing”, Click on next to last column on the right, then go to the bottom of the AD description box and you will find 3 links these are: edit details, edit photos, and edit category, click on these links to edit your listings or ads.
Q I am having problem with entering the text/size/colour I want in my advert?
A: Sometimes by coping and pasting directly from another document may cause this to happen, a simple way round this is to copy & paste it via your note-pad as it uses clean basic text.
Q: How do I mark my ad as sold?
A: Click on “my accounts”, follow by clicking the "active listing" Link. This will show you your active ads. You will see the 3rd option over it says “sold?” You just click the icon under “Sold?” for the ad you want to mark as sold. Once you have clicked the icon you will see the word sold in red across the icon. If for some reason you need to remove the sold sign just click that icon again and you will see the word sold removed.

Q: How do I know when my subscription/ad is about to expire?
A: Once your logged onto the site, and click on Manage my Active Ads, you will see when your subscription/ad started and when it will expire. An auto notification email will be sent 4 weeks prior to the expiry date, and then one each week untill the listing expires or is renewed
Q: I want to get a subscription to Mc-Tooling How do I do that?

A: The Listing Filers allows you to screen listings as they are listed on this site. As soon as a listing is placed that meets your filter criteria, you will be immediately notified by email of the listing.
Q What is "Listing Favourites" for?
A: It allows you to keep a list of your "Listings to Watch". Add as many listings to your list as you wish and delete them any time within your personal account pages.
Q: Do you advertise?
A: Yes we advertise in the press, and on all the major search engines, including Yahoo! & Google.
Q: How do I report abuse of this website if I see that an inappropriate ad has been posted?
A: MC-Tooling.com is a website that posts online engineering related product and service and also offers classified ads. We monitor ad postings regularly to ensure that only postings relevant to our site are posted.
