Matsuura Directors & Staff would like to pass on our sincere thanks to all the visitors & industry partners who attended our May Open House, an event that has proven to be one of our most successful to date.
Over the three days, 110 attendees from 57 companies attended – an amazing result that was hoped & planned for, but was still quite unexpected.
By a small margin, the majority of these attendees were first time visitors to Matsuura.
In the challenging business environment we are all in, the calibre of companies & their enquiries was extremely re-assuring for the medium to long term future of British manufacturing, production engineering & component forming.
There is a growing understanding that the only way forward for British companies is to invest & trade our way out of what will be a slow road to recovery from here on in. Many companies in attendance are proactively engaging & rolling out long term capital investment strategies to not only take full advantage of the upturn on the domestic UK stage, but also to reap the benefits of the lower value of Sterling that is making British companies very attractive to overseas concerns who require cost effective high quality component manufacturers.
Our Open House also saw Matsuura customers from Spain, Ireland, Holland, Belgium & Sweden attend – all keen to see the European launch of the CUBLEX-42 (multi pallet Mill / Turn Grind* (*Option) & the new incarnation of the H.Plus-405 multi pallet horizontal – offering a larger machining envelope from a 12% smaller machine footprint.
Interest in the Gruppo Parpas HSC 5 axis blade machine also reached very impressive levels – & indeed attracted a new demographic of potential customer to our show, who in some cases are already UK based Parpas users.
