In 2008, Derek Walmsley Ltd. became part of the UNIMERCO GROUP and was subsequently renamed UNIMERCO WALMSLEY. Headquartered in Denmark, UNIMERCO operates in Europe, the USA and Asia.

Unimerco was sold to Kyocera 29-06-2011

The Japanese conglomerate acquires Unimerco Group A/S and all associated companies as of 11 July 2011. Unimerco will continue all activities as an independent unit in the Kyocera Group.

As of 21 November 2011, UNIMERCO changes its name to KYOCERA UNIMERCO.

This means that UNIMERCO WALMSLEY Ltd. will be renamed KYOCERA UNIMERCO Tooling Ltd.
